The icon refers to estimated carbon foot print based upon the number of transportation hops using fossil fuels.

For example, the number 4 means an estimated 4 fossil fuels transportation vehicles were used for delivery. Such as pickup vehicle to airport, airplane to destination, delivery vehicle to local holding facility, holding facility to customer.

It does not include the carbon foot print used in holding facilities.

KeyAtoll Species Aquaculture Status

The KeyAtoll Species Aquaculture Status is a goal meter. Each white letter represents a level of achievement by staff of the KeyAtoll Aquaculture team. Each red letter is a desired level. Below are descriptions of level.

  • GD - Genetic diversity of the aquacultured species is achieved
     

  • A - The aquacultured species has reached adulthood
     

  • J - The aquacultured species has reached juvenile size
     

  • L - The aquacultured species has reached larval stage
     

  • EB - The aquacultured species has reached embryo stage
     

  • EThe aquacultured species has produced fertilized eggs
     

  • B -- The aquacultured species is breeding
     

  • S - The KeyAtoll resident is successfully surviving

Pelagic spawning - The eggs are released and fertilized in the open water column and the eggs being very buoyant float to where the current takes them.
